The first Cyprus Forum Athens was held on 14 October 2025 in Athens, marking an important step toward strengthening public dialogue and democratic engagement between Greece and Cyprus.

The event brought together leading politicians, academics, business leaders, and experts from both countries to exchange views and present proposals on key issues of our time. Among the distinguished participants were the Deputy Minister to the President of the Republic of Cyprus, Irene Piki; the Deputy Minister of Research, Innovation and Digital Policy, Nikodemos Damianou; the Minister of State of the Hellenic Republic, Akis Skertsos; the Minister of Digital Governance, Dimitris Papastergiou; and the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Harry Theoharis.

Opening remarks were delivered by the Ambassador of the Republic of Cyprus to Greece, Stavros Avgoustidis; the President of the Association of Cypriot Professionals in Greece (SKEE), Despoina Panayiotou; and the Executive President of the Cyprus Forum, Nicolas Kyriakides.

Focusing on four key themes — Foreign Policy and Geopolitics, Entrepreneurship and Economy, Technology and Innovation, and the Future of Europe — the conference underscored the role of civil society and professional communities in shaping policy and promoting democratic resilience.

The event was co-organized by Oxygen for Democracy and the Association of Cypriot Professionals in Greece (SKEE), under the auspices of the Embassy of the Republic of Cyprus in Athens, serving as a bridge for ideas, collaboration, and shared progress between the two nations.
