George Isaia, Executive Director of Oxygen for Democracy, appeared on Politis radio to discuss the Cyprus Forum Cities.
The 4th consecutive Cyprus Forum Cities took place at Pefkos City Hotel in Limassol on 24 April 2026, from 9:00 until 17:00.
The series of discussions at this year’s forum focused on issues of local government autonomy, urban mobility, the Pay-As-You-Throw scheme, sustainable development, and citizens’ participation in local governance. Simultaneously, two workshops took place during the forum, focusing on issues related to local government.
The list of speakers for this year’s Cyprus Forum Cities included mayors of major municipalities, Presidents of Local Government Organisations, municipal councilors, and other stakeholders engaged in local governance.
Cyprus Forum Cities was a unique opportunity for citizens to get informed about local government, discuss policies with experts and government officials, and raise questions on issues that directly affected their daily lives.
