INDIA-EU Forum | 6-7 February, 2026 | New Delhi

Nicolas Kyriakides, Executive President of the Cyprus Forum, took part in the India–EU Forum organised by the Ananta Centre, contributing to high-level discussions on the future of relations between India and the European Union. On the sidelines of the conference, he was honoured to meet with Subrahmanyam Jaishankar, Minister of External Affairs of India and the Minister of National Defence of the Hellenic Republic Nikos Dendias.

Speaking on the panel “Is a Euro-Indo-Pacific Too Much?”, Mr. Kyriakides highlighted Cyprus’ strong support—particularly during its EU Presidency—for the further deepening of India–EU relations. He emphasised that India and Cyprus share a common set of values and longstanding ties, and stressed the strategic importance for the EU to work closely with like-minded partners, as such cooperation leads to more resilient and sustainable partnerships.

The Cypriot delegation also included Chief Scientist Mr. Demetris Skourides and Consul Mr. Iraklitos Iosifides on behalf of the High Commission of the Republic of Cyprus in India.
